The two Hemidactylus turcicus in the lab got a refreshed enclosure today. After a quick visit to a local plant nursery, $30 worth of broken slate pieces, and a couple tubes of JB weld epoxy, they now have their very own rocket outcrop. It should give them lots of warm and cooler hiding places between the rock layers.
They’ve grown a lot since I found them last Aug/Sept as hatchlings! Here they are anxiously awaiting their new enclosure in a little critter keeper.
Here is their new Pride Rock outcrop in their freshly cleaned enclosure along with live plant and wooden climbing branches.
