This year SICB was in Austin, Texas! I had a great time, catching up with colleagues and getting updates on everyone’s exciting research.
I was very excited to present a great project that was completed by an undergrad working in my lab last semester, Alaina Dawkins, titled Toepad Shape Allometry and Evolution across Hemidactylus Geckos. Check out a prerecorded video on SICB+ or on YouTube.
My current student Jenny McCann also presented an update on her project titled Early Burst of Parallel Evolution in Gecko Toe Pad Morphology. Last year she presented preliminary results as a poster, and this year she upgraded to give a talk!
