In addition to wrapping up may first year as a new faculty, I also celebrated a couple of awards! Both of these awards I was nominated for, either by my department chair or by students. I received a MUW Alumni Association New Faculty Award, which recognizes the hard work of a newer faculty member in supporting the academic mission of The W. It also comes with $1000 that I’m putting towards lab equipment!
I was also awarded an Excellence in Teaching Award via the National Society of Leadership and Success ΣΑΠ. For this award, I was nominated by student members of the society.
